Did you ever wonder !!!!
You bought a pair of footwear ( a reputed brand) and still it did not last longer as you expected it to be.
Here are some facts and tips on how to purchase a good pair of footwear on your next visit.
Footwears of high fashion statements are more or less hand made generally consisting of three parts at large as mentioned below
1. Upper
2. Bottom
3. Sole
(however there are still many other parts or names to identify or for the communication purpose. )
The major complaints which you come across on a newly bought pair of footwear is either pasting problem or you experience a sole breakage.
these complaints generally occur due to the old stock kept at the retail outlets for which you cannot complaint the brands as they come with new batches and models for that matter in every month !!!! as you know that competitive is the market.
You may also have to bear in mind that you shall check for the manufacturing date of the footwear and people can still manipulate by sticking the new stickers on the products. Ahhh What is the other way to find it... !!!!
My beloved fans and customers here Floy comes at your rescue to educate and make you understand to identify the stock - if new or old.
Listen !!!!!
Generally soles are of different types. .. PVC, PU, Rubber sheet soles, Leather soles, TPR soles, etc..
all these soles above have varied symptoms and cultures to the climatic conditions.. for eg.
PU - lay men call it light weight soles - which are generally seen for the upper end products to give them low weight and finer finishing ...
Beware - PU sole generally last longer if and only if its used regularly. Supposedly the product you bought from the retail shop aged at the outlet for one year.. you should generally be careful on the same
How do you rectify them - Take the shoes and face the sole onto you.. slightly bend the sole (not completely to cause material damage) to ensure you dont experience any breakage.
when you dont bend the sole.. and look with you bare eyes you may feel them good and genuine ... !!!!!
and then soon on your second usage you will experience the breakage.
the same applies when you buy a pair of PU footwear and you could not wear it for an year and when you bought the same from the retail shop it was already stocked for 6 months. to sum up the total no. of years footwear not used is 1.6 years and hence it is more likes to experience the damage.
PVC - mid priced products are hand made products and fast moving in terms of mass sales. Generally have a shelf life of 2 years can cause damage before that if used aggressively in water and if stocked without using for more than 6 months. You will generally come across pasting complaints. the pastes in between the sole and bottom will get off..
(same applies with TPR, SHEET, ETC. )
